Martin Teas is a DJ and Event Promoter from Austria. Together with his friends, he forms the Contactmusic collective, which organizes a yearly event called "Contact" and various smaller parties in upper austrias Mühlviertel. Steve started with the whole techno thing some time in the 90s. First as a visitor, later as a DJ. He played in various clubs, partys and in some radio shows. After a break from the scene between '02 and '08, he rediscovered electronic music again, got himself new equipment for DJing, a keyboard and some DAW to dive into the production side of techno as well. In the meantime Steve was able to land some bookings as a DJ, with a gig at Fusion last may as a highlight. He also recorded some podcasts for several show and started to release his productions on Hybrid Confusion, AZ Tech Music, BUNK3R R3CORDS, Elektrax, Viral Outbreak Digital and Seesaw Records. Future releases will be available on Anecdote Records, Musikpropaganda, BUNK3R R3CORDS, Lebe Lieber Dezibel, Viral Outbreak Digital, Tekx Records and Audio Autopsy.

I recently stumbled upon Sheldon Drake, an artist from NYC who now resides in Berlin. Besides his activities as a DJ and Producer, he's also a painter and video/computer-graphics artist. A jack of all trades in terms of creativity.

Here is a little bio from his homepage: "I had the excellent fortune to be part of the Illbient scene during its brief thrive (NYC, around 1995), strongly influenced by talents like DJ Olive. Illbient had a heady darkside vibe that a drank of deeply. At first* I played mostly chillout, but now that software frees up my creativity from beatmatching (hi haters, bye haters), I can finally go wild the way I've always wanted, shredding and crushing techno tools across each other, pulling the dancefloor deep into the far reaches of the abyss. I still have a lot of my dark ambient tools, that mix in so fine: flaming furies of ghostly madness, luscious and molten, caustic and vicious. In between (and sometimes even during) sets I can be found raging on the dancefloor."
